Community Connections

For effective service delivery, NOCCOA relies on the collaborations it is involved in with many community-based agencies.

Generationcare (link to their website)and NOCCOA offer an ongoing Silver Swimmers program that focuses on flexibility and gentle resistance exercise. In addition, as a sponsor of the NOCCOA Games, Generationcare offers a series of training workshops and seminars to build balance, endurance and flexibility.

North Ottawa Community Health System (link) is a sponsor of the annual NOCCOA Games and a partner in many health education and supportive programming opportunities.

The Little Red House (link) and NOCCOA partner together to offer social opportunities for caregivers while skilled adult day care activities are in place for those being cared for during this time.

Gentle Waters, under the umbrella of LOVE Inc., is being supported during its inception with workspace and office support at NOCCOA. This ministry program provides compassionate programming and activities within a nursing home setting.
