Prescription Assistance

The number one concern Seniors have is the cost of their medications. For many, they choose each month between taking their medicines and buying food or paying utility bills. NOCCOA is doing all that it can so that people do not have to make these choices.

There are several ways a person can save on their medicine costs. Sometimes it is confusing but NOCCOA staff is here to help sort through it all. Funding from United Way enables NOCCOA to dedicate a staff person to help you fill out forms to work directly with pharmaceutical companies. In addition we have certified MMAP workers to help with Medicare and Medicaid applications.

Our staff has helped literally hundreds of people find the right Medicare Part D Prescription Assistance plan. We are here to help you.

The Grand Haven Presbyterian Church has given NOCCOA a grant to pay for emergency medications for low income people. There are strict criteria to qualify for these limited funds, but if you have an emergency (i.e. between plans and totally out of meds) and think you might qualify, please call us in Grand Haven at 616-842-9210 and in Coopersville at 616-997-1786.
